About Me

Tony Mpofu (.1998)is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Johannesburg Gauteng.

2018 he began his practice as a visual artist by customizing garments for clients.

2019 he was enlisted to pitch his creative concepts at the annual Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising.

2020 during the global pandemic he found new passion for design and upcycling.

2021 he studied at Villioti Fashion Institute where he did a short course in garment construction.

2022 he was selected to showcase his artist skills Levis (Haus Africa) as part of their young emerging tailors workshop, he then got an industry induction by The Touch Up 2022 mentorship program and he is currently a doing short course in Pattern making at SEWAFRIKA.
